I first heard the song "Dancing" by Elisa on So You Think You Can Dance. This is still my favorite performance ever, and it just made me love Lacey even more (hmm, I wonder why? haha). But I lovelovelove the song as well, as much as the performance.

I think it sounds like a really romantic song, but when you really listen, the singer says she's leaving, and she hopes she does no wrong. So it kind of makes me wonder if maybe this is her last time with this person, that they both know and they're just trying to make it as best as they can with the time they have. Still romantic, but not something you'd want to play for a first dance, say. Definitely not a "i love you to pieces and omg omg omg" kind of song.

Either way, I still really, really, love this song.

1. The longest friendship I've ever had is with somebody I've never met IRL. It's A, a girl I started to roleplay with on Neopets waaaaaaaaay back in the day. I come home, sit down, and am immediately greeted with two cats vying for position on my lap. That, kids, it love.

So we had a big staff meeting today to go over some employee survey results. Basically it was how can we be more of a team, etcetc that kind of thing. There was food, so that pretty much made it okay.

Until the crying started.

This is the issue with working with all women. Too much damn estrogen floating around. Our boss started crying saying how much she loved us, which started the nurses crying which started... it's ridiculous. It was like Oprah just gave away a fucking car.

Obviously, I never learned how to deal with crying people.

So I called out of work this morning. Upon undressing (since I was all ready to go but felt like shit and decided not to last minute), I asked BF for a large, comfy shirt since my go-to was in the laundry. So he pulls out this huge green yankees shirt that's practically a dress on me and is ratty as hell. Holes along the collar, one in the seam, etc. I asked how old it was and he said he had no idea, his g-pa gave it to him forever and a moon ago.

But you know what? As ratty as it is, this is the most comfortable thing ever.
