So, hi.
We're gearing up for Hurricane Sandy. Everybody is shitting their pants over it, but I figure the more hype about a storm, the less issues it'll cause. But I'm from a landlocked state, so what do I know about hurricanes? Either way, we went to the store last night just to pick up a case of water (just in case!) and maybe a flashlight. They were out of flashlights, but we did get some water. Also Risk and Uno. Because obviously all you need to ride one out is board games.
We played a game of risk last night. I lost. I was upset. I wanted to flip the board over about 5 minutes into the game. Please don't ever vote for me if I'm running for president. It would just end badly in the Situation Room.
We're going hiking today, then to the library!!! and then to a cute little hippy/foodie place for dinner. You know, the vegan/raw/gluten free kind of places. But we're trying to find a place that we can go out to when I'm too lazy to cook that won't be terrible for us. So we'll see how that goes.
We spent a weekend up in Deep Creek Lake, MD a couple weeks ago. Rented a house and played with fire the whole time. It was fun and relaxing. Obviously we do well at the whole saving money for a wedding thing. I kind of just want to get it over with. I'm not good at the stress that comes with planning such events. I keep trying to get Fancy to hire a wedding planner but he's all "it's more money!" and I'm all "but I don't know what I'm doing!". I hope the venue we want will have one on hand to help. They usually do.
And now I'm going to go clean. Because my life is interesting, obviously.
But I leave you with a picture of me playing Fortune City on the Wii while Mal snuggles in my lap.

Board games are an essential. More than water/food.
